Several of my close friends and family have had babies over the past year, giving me even more excuses to buy gorgeous cuddly toys! For one of the children I was determined to buy him a plain, simple, gorgeous teddy bear he could love for years. It was not as easy as I thought it’d be! So I am over the moon at this little fella’ from Gund. He’s everything a teddy should be.

My favourite thing is his name – Yorrick. For those of you who aren’t big geeks like me, Yorrick was Hamlet’s Jester when he was a baby; “A fellow of infinite / jest, of most excellent fancy.” A classic teddy named after a Shakespeare character – I love him, and little Ollie does too! As a soft toy shop this is one of our biggest challenges, but a challenge we are willing to accept.
